Effective Date: 1 May 2025 · Last Updated: 17 May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Summit Exchange Ltd. ("Summit Exchange", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Summit Exchange platform, including the web application at summitexchange.net, all associated API services, and the NFC hardware card authentication system. By creating an account, completing onboarding, or using any part of the platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.
Summit Exchange provides a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet and exchange platform. Key services include: Wallet Management — Generation of HD wallets using BIP39 mnemonics. Seed phrases are generated exclusively on your device and never transmitted to our servers. We store only your public wallet addresses. Asset Trading — Swapping between supported cryptocurrencies via integrated decentralised exchange protocols. Exchange rates are provided in real time and subject to slippage and market conditions. Fiat On-Ramp — Purchasing cryptocurrency using fiat currency via regulated third-party payment providers. Summit Exchange does not process fiat payments directly. P2P Trading — A peer-to-peer marketplace allowing users to post and fill buy/sell orders. An escrow mechanism holds funds during active trades. NFC Authentication — A proprietary hardware card system that acts as a physical security key for login and transaction authorization. Market Data — Real-time and historical price data sourced from CoinGecko for the 10 supported cryptocurrencies.
Summit Exchange operates on a strictly non-custodial basis. This has critical implications that you must understand before using the platform: • Your seed phrase (mnemonic) is generated on your device and never leaves it. Summit Exchange has zero access to your seed phrase at any time. • Loss of your seed phrase results in permanent and irrecoverable loss of access to your funds. There is no account recovery mechanism. • Private keys are derived client-side and held in browser memory only. They are cleared on logout and never sent to our servers. • You are solely responsible for securely backing up your seed phrase. Summit Exchange is not liable for any loss of funds resulting from failure to back up or safeguard your seed phrase. • You are responsible for all transactions broadcast from your wallets, including those authorised via your NFC card. By using the platform, you acknowledge that you fully understand these responsibilities and accept the risks inherent in non-custodial cryptocurrency management.
Summit Exchange currently supports the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT) on ERC20 and TRC20 networks, TRON (TRX), BNB on BEP20 network, XRP, Solana (SOL), USD Coin (USDC) on ERC20 and BEP20 networks, Litecoin (LTC), and Dogecoin (DOGE). Support for additional assets may be added in future. We reserve the right to withdraw support for any asset at any time with reasonable notice. We are not responsible for the performance, security, or legal status of any underlying blockchain network or token.
Summit Exchange may charge platform fees on certain transactions including swaps, buy/sell orders, and P2P trades. Fee structures are displayed transparently before you confirm any transaction and include: • Platform fee — charged by Summit Exchange for facilitating the transaction • Network fee — blockchain miner/validator fees estimated at time of transaction Displayed fees are estimates. Actual network fees may vary due to blockchain congestion at the time of broadcast. Summit Exchange is not liable for discrepancies in estimated versus actual network fees. Fiat on-ramp fees are set by the third-party payment provider and are outside our control.
Summit Exchange is required by applicable law to conduct identity verification on users. You agree to: • Provide accurate, current, and complete identity information when requested • Submit valid government-issued identification documents for KYC verification • Promptly update your information if it changes • Cooperate with any additional due diligence requests We reserve the right to suspend or restrict your account pending KYC verification, and to terminate your account if verification fails or if we determine that information provided was false, misleading, or incomplete. Certain features (including higher transaction limits and P2P trading) may require verified KYC status.
The Summit Exchange NFC card is a proprietary physical security device issued by Summit Exchange. By activating or using an NFC card, you agree to the following: • The card is linked to your account and acts as a hardware authentication factor for login and transaction authorisation. • You are responsible for the physical security of your card. Treat it as you would a bank card or hardware wallet. • If your card is lost, stolen, or compromised, you must immediately block it via the NFC Management section of your account settings. • Summit Exchange is not liable for unauthorised transactions that occur before you report a card as lost or stolen. • Cards may be deactivated by Summit Exchange if suspicious usage is detected. • Attempting to tamper with, clone, or spoof the NFC card hardware or software is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
